How to become a transcriptionist.
Before I started my current job of marketing and sales, I worked for a transcription company that did insurance claims. I was asked to revise this post and not add details about the company as they deal with very confidential information. So, here is what I can tell you. (Revised on 1/22/2018)
I was introduced to this company by a lady I met in one of my mom groups. She has worked for this company for many years now, and so I was all ears. I was so grateful to have found this company when I did because I was in desperate need of a work at home job. I worked here for a little over three months and really enjoyed my time here.
I was asked not to disclose the name of the company and was asked to only put the email address if you wish to inquire about a transcription position. Also note, they are no longer hiring entry level. They do want you to have some previous experience in this field to be considered.
You will need to have really good typing skills, and they will require you to take a typing test. If you pass the typing speed test they will give you more details on this company and what you will need to be hired.
